Permanent Scars: In a Temporary World was written by me, Sharon Third Smith in hopes that my life story can offer hope to those in times of despair, and heartache.
As a young girl, I received 3rd degree burns over 52% of my body and extremities. Nine years later, my father took it upon himself to take my mother Sarah from me, along with himself in a murderous rampage that changed my life forever. Tragedy continued to follow me, but yet, I remained happy and productive. As a clean cut Bail Bondsman/Fugitive Recovery Agent I became encouraged by my friends and family members to write my story down, in hopes that others who are facing life's firery tribulations can gain strength and peace in knowing that no matter what obstacles come our way, we can make it.
I have to be honest, most people get so involved in my book, that they read it one sitting. Over 300 copies have been sold already, and the response to it has been overwhelmingly positive. Due to the impact it appears to have on those who read it, I have taken upon myself to purchase copies, and offer them for my cost, plus shipping which is only $1o.oo. Each copy sent out is autographed and personally inscribed with you in mind. This soft cover 5X8 title with 128 pgs, is my first edition and was released October 11, 2007 climbing to the top 10% of Amazon.com sales within a month.
Although I want to share my story with the world, this book is not intended for children. My humorous personality comes through with hope for a happy life no matter what comes your way, but, please be advised that this is a factual account of severe violence, and abuse.
